SoccerTots!

We've been looking forward to the day when we could start signing Brooklyn up for different sports and SoccerTots was the first sport he could start here in Bend for his age group. So in January he joined the 18 to 36 month teddy class (Brooklyn being the youngest out of the bunch) which was rough on the little guy since it wasn't just your ordinary kick-the-ball soccer class. This class was designed to teach the toddlers instruction while using different props (balloons, hula hoops, soccer balls, cones..etc.) for a short amount of time and returning them from where they got them without any complaints. It also focused on their listening skills as the kiddos would run across the field, they would have to stop when the teacher said "STOP!" and go when she said "GO!" Brooklyn had a hard time the first few sessions as he was the youngest, hadn't taken the class before like most of the others, and wasn't used to only being able to play with a balloon for 5 minutes and having to return it. He did cooperate with most of the activities halfway thru the course which got a lot easier for us but all in all we decided that we should have waited until he was a little older to put him in a class like this. In the end, we were still proud of our little guy for his hard work!

Next on the list?
SWIMMING LESSONS
which starts in April!
