Pregnancy couldn't have come at a crazier time! Matt left to go fight wild fires 2 days after we found out. I was sick all day everyday while I was taking care of our little boys and working full time. Let's just say that saltines were my best friend for a long time! Matt ended up being gone for most of the Summer. He fought fires anywhere from WA state down to Southern Oregon. In fact, him and his crew "lived" in the North Valley High School (my high school) wrestling room for quite some time while he was fighing the Douglas Complex Fire in Southern Oregon. A huge thank you to my Dad for bringing Matt extra things he really needed while he was down there!
